Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year at St. Andrews Consolidated School
Welcome back!
I hope everyone had a fantastic summer and is feeling refreshed and ready for a new school year.
A new school year brings new opportunities— a chance to learn new things, make new friends, and discover something new about ourselves. An important part of learning is having growth mindset. Having a growth mindset means recognizing that not everything will be easy right away. It means keeping an open mind, learning from our mistakes, and believing in the Power of Yet! We look forward to supporting our students as they learn, grow, and discover their potential this year.
My name is Sean Barker, and I am excited to join the St. Andrews Consolidated School (SACS) community as your new Principal. I am excited to be part of such an amazing school community and look forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff.
I would also like to wish Mr. Johnstone all the best as he begins his retirement and embarks on a new adventure.
Prior to joining SACS, I was the Principal of H. M. MacDonald Elementary School and Vice Principal at Antigonish Education Centre. My teaching experience includes working with students from Grade 2 through Grade 8 in a variety of subjects areas.
Clear and consistent communication is important to us. In addition to our monthly school calendar, we will be emailing The Eagle’s Nest Weekly Flash each week. This will help keep families informed about what is happening at SACS and highlight important events, reminders, and upcoming activities.
